Apprenticeship opportunity opens in Leeds
We’re pleased to announce that the application process is now open for an exciting apprenticeship role with us as an apprentice Sporting Memories Community Sport and Health Officer in Leeds.
The new apprenticeship will see the chosen individual support our increasing work across Leeds, helping to support our sessions held in local leisure centres and care settings. The apprentice will facilitate inclusive group activities for older people that are both physically and mentally stimulating, as well as games combined with sporting reminiscence.
The apprentice will also connect with local referral and volunteer organisations in the community to help recruit volunteers and to facilitate beneficiary referrals into our Clubs and Sporting Memories sessions.
Along the apprenticeship journey with us, the chosen candidate will be supported by Lifetime Training, with regular face-to-face or online meetings to discuss feedback and progress, as well the opportunity to work towards qualifications, including the level 3 Community Sport and Health Officer apprenticeship. The role will be based at the John Charles Centre where another of our partners, Active Leeds, are based.
This role is being funded through a grant awarded from The National Lottery Community Fund.
