Club guidance for cold temperatures
As temperatures drop to below freezing across many regions in the United Kingdom, we have issued the following guidance and advice for our Sporting Memories clubs so they can ensure the safety and wellbeing of club members, volunteers and facilitators during cold periods of weather.
Weather Warnings
Please check your local weather forecast to view the latest developments regarding any weather warnings and how this may affect individuals and groups from attending your regular club session this week. To check, please visit the Met Office or BBC Weather websites via the links below:

Travel Arrangements
With regards to the various weather warnings that have been publicised, as a duty of care for all concerned, please take extra to review travel arrangements if you are out and about, but more so to assess whether club session delivery can take place safely.
Venue Temperatures
With the cold conditions outside, all clubs should be mindful as to whether they can keep their venues or facilities which they hold their sessions within at a warm and comfortable temperature.
As we support some vulnerable groups and individuals, all clubs should make judgements on whether their facilities are capable of providing an environment which the sessions can be held in without causing any problems to members.
