Community Club Co-Ordinator in Leeds

The Community Club Co-Ordinator role is the perfect opportunity for the chosen candidate to understand the role sport and physical activity can play in local communities, with a particular focus on supporting older people.

You will be helping to run fully accessible and inclusive group sessions across Leeds that are fun, physically and mentally stimulating and include games as well as sporting reminiscence. Some of the key responsibilities of the role, but not exhaustive, will include:

  • Supporting activities within a weekly Sporting Memories Club within leisure centres and community venues including preparation and monitoring and evaluation reporting.
  • Supporting Sporting Memories Club members and volunteers through their wellbeing journey.
  • Connecting with referral partners and volunteering organisations in the Community.
  • Facilitating inclusive activities in other settings (e.g. day centres and care homes).
  • Working closely with community partners within the Sporting Memories Leeds funded project – Hamara, Active Leeds, Burmantofts Community Friends, Maecare and Leeds City Council venues.

Project Assistant Internship in Glasgow

Through our partners at Inclusion Scotland, we are looking for enthusiastic candidates to support our projects we are developing around working with older people in Glasgow in the build-up and during the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. We are planning to work with schools, BAME older peoples’ groups and LGBTQ+ groups to help gather and celebrate their sporting memories as part of the Glasgow 2026 Games legacy.

This internship role will see the chosen candidate helping other members of the Sporting Memories staff and volunteer teams with these projects with various administrative and communication tasks, as well as, having an opportunity to talk and meet with members of these groups either online or potentially in person at specific ‘events’ connected with the Glasgow 2026.
