Value of our intergenerational work captured by inFocus Report

inFocus, a social impact consultancy firm that supports partners to improve lives and transform communities worldwide, led a case study which assesses the impact and value of an intergenerational project run by Sporting Memories, thanks to support from Spirit of 2012.

The study focused on a project which saw Sporting Memories Clubs based at Knowle West Media Centre interact with students from Bedminster Down Secondary for a six-week programme of activities. The study indicated that Sporting Memories ‘has struck gold’ in developing a project which met the existing need for holistic care and meaningful activities for older people with dementia, and the ongoing need to develop young people’s potential and build communities by connecting generations.
