Southside Club gets support from Edinburgh solicitors

Our Edinburgh Southside Club were delighted to receive a generous donation of £300 from the Edinburgh branch of solicitors firm Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie. The donation will help support the running of the club at the Southside Community Centre at 117 Nicolson Street every Tuesday at 10.30am.

The link to the Edinburgh firm came from volunteers Graeme and Joanne Hewit whose daughter Karin works there. After Karin had attended our clubs in Musselburgh and Corstorphine to talk about her experience as a Track Marshall, she approached her employers to share her positive experience of Sporting Memories.

Here are Graeme and Joanne

Graeme said “We are very grateful to Karin for being so enthusiastic about Sporting Memories and sharing with her employers the positive impacts we have on older people. Our Edinburgh Southside club is in its infancy, so this donation will help us to grow and hopefully attract a new group of Sporting Memories members.”
